Lynde Local Market

Introducing Lynde Local Market!  We are currently in the planning stages of organizing a farmers market type of event to take place in 2014.  Since we are still growing vegetables and herbs for Pineview Produce, we want to be able to offer it to you!

Currently, our produce is at the Maple Grove Farmers Market, which ends on December 19th (come visit us!) so since we have the space to be able to host this type of event, we are going to do it!  We are hoping that other Farmers Market vendors will also be joining us at Lynde Greenhouse & Nursery

Lynde Local Market will keep true to the Maple Grove Farmers Market, in that we will have the market every other Thursday, from 3-6pm.

We hope to see everyone at Lynde Local Market come January!

Spruce Tip Workshops

Every holiday season, we host spruce tip workshops in our Garden Center led by our amazingly talented staff.  We had a huge turn out this year for the event, in case you weren't able to make it out, you can live vicariously through these pictures. Enjoy!

Pineview Produce

Things are really coming along in our produce dedicated greenhouses! A lot of people have been asking about thyme in preparation of Thanksgiving.  This last week we had salad mixes with us at the Maple Grove Farmers Market! They are comprised of swiss chard, pansies (did you know they are edible?), arugula, and spinach.

Flocking Holiday Trees

Every year we flock Christmas trees, we do this in-house. Flocking a Christmas tree means to apply some kind of coating that will appear to look like snow.  A beautiful snow that never melts! This is a quick video to show you how we give our Christmas trees this beautiful holiday glow.

Pineview Produce

As many people know, we've started a produce endeavor!  As a way to utilize our empty greenhouse space in the colder months of the year, we have decided to grow vegetables and herbs in our greenhouse for sale in the community.  It is difficult to get locally grown produce this time of year, so why not?  Take a look at some of our progress thus far...

Welcome to the Holidays!

The temperatures are dropping, just about everything has died after the first big frost, and the sun rarely shines! Basically the definition of the transition from fall into winter seasons.

That means the greenhouse is full of spruce tips! Hundreds upon hundreds of spuce tip arrangements go out our doors during a given season, and it takes some serious manpower to put them all together.

Get a glimpse into how it's done!

As always, the radio is always rocking.

Spring in the Fall?

It might be gloomy outside, but we're thinking sunshine and melting snow inside.  Wait, it hasn't even snowed yet?

We're thinking spring!  We've got the retail stores beat that put back to school items on the shelves in July and the stores who put swim suits on the racks when there is still snow on the ground.  Today in the greenhouse we're planting spring Easter Lilies!  It takes these babies months to grow up into the beautiful flowers that are most known {around here} for the Easter holiday.

Watch the video, where the radio is always rocking.
