Sprengeri, spikes, hydrangeas and lilies getting their grow on in the Garden Center |
Pansy bowls galore! We spent the better part of a week planting pansies. |
These little plugs get planted into larger containers which you'll take home in the spring and summer! |
It has been a very busy beginning of 2012 for us at the greenhouse! From making improvements in the store (teaser..you'll learn more soon!!) to getting messy in the dirt upstairs, there has not been a shortage of things to do. Over the last few weeks, lilies and hydrangeas have been growing very nicely for Easter. They've moved from the Garden Center out to one of the greenhouses until they're ready for Easter and early spring sales.
We've also been very busy planting a variety of pansies! A spring season favorite around here because they can take the fluctuating temperatures and even handle a little snow! The perfect way for anxious gardeners to get some quick color..and be the envy of the neighborhood. We've been planting up pansy bowls in a few sizes as well as different sizes of pansies for garden beds. This last week has had us busy busy busy planting begonias, fuchsias and much more.
The Garden Center has seen a wave of shipment trucks as we are unloading and unpacking all of the new items for 2012! Fun new containers as well as extras to add to your garden areas. They're sure to be a hit this year. Be on the lookout for new trends in 2012! Rustic and re-purposed planters, bright and bold colors, and patio pot accessories.
